Psoriasis is a long-term skin condition affecting about 80 million people worldwide.1 It is estimated that between 2 and 3% of the European population have psoriasis.2

It is not life threatening, but people with psoriasis may have a higher incidence of diabetes,3 psoriatic arthritis,4 heart disease,5 and depression.6

Psoriasis can occur at any age, but typically appears for the first time between ages 15 and 25.2
