Types

Types of psoriasis are defined by their location, severity and appearance. The most common type is plaque psoriasis (80% of people with psoriasis have this type).  A patient can develop more than one type of psoriasis.11 It's important to know the type and severity of your psoriasis when talking about treatment plans with your doctor.

Location: Some forms of psoriasis can occur on any part of the body. Other types are typically found on specific parts of the body.
